In the Name of God Amen I Caty Myers of the State of North Carolina and County of Rowan being verry Sick but of perfect mind and memory.  Calling to mind the Mortality of my body, do think fit to make this my last will and testament in the following manner and form, -- First of all I recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the Earth from whom it was taken to be Buried in Descent Christian Burial at the discretion of my Executor, Nothing doubting but I shall receive the Same again at the General Resurrection by the mighty power of God, and as to my Worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me within this life I give and dispose of the Same in the following manner and form--

First of all I Order that all my Just debts and funeral Charges be paid.  First I give and Bequeath to my Son Daniel Evans and my Son Joseph Evans and my Daughter Hannah Myers the Sum of Five Shillings to each of them.  Next I give and Bequeath to my Son Barny Kimble and to my daughter Caty Myers, and to my daughter Margret Myers all my worldly estate and ready money.  Also I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Essex the Sum of Five dollars.  I likewise Constitute my Son Barny Kimble to be the Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sit my Hand and Seal this 23d day of July 1809.
