Image Collection

JPEG images on file of Kimmels (by birth or by marriage) born prior to 1900.

Family members have donated copies of family photos, photocopies of obituary photos or scans of their Kimmel ancestors to this collection. If you have images to share, they can be e-mailed to tim@kimmelfamily.net or mailed to Timothy W. Kimmel, 2103 Bevel Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The more people that each image can be shared with, the less chance that image will be lost forever to our descendants if the original is lost.

The image collection: Photo duplicates of the old photos are preferred, or a 300 ppi TIF scan which will allow me to touch up and print a photo quality duplicate myself. However, I'll happily accept pictures in any form, including 75 ppi JPEGs, sketches and photocopies. Even bad copies will do until I find higher quality versions later.

Versions of some of the images available for viewing are listed on this web page. They are usually smaller than original to conserve space and converted to a 75 ppi black-and-white jpeg. Because of limited space and time, most of the images are not on my my Kimmel web site. The images are in various conditions from excellent to poor. Some are in very bad condition, but are presented here until I can get copies in better condition. If you would like to view any of the collections below that are marked "not online" e-mail me at tim@kimmelfamily.net and I will upload the images on a web page for visitors to view and download.
